A new Artisan profession, Shipwright, was also introduced. The playable sectors include the space surrounding the ten planets of the game as well as Kessel and 'Deep Space.' Combat is real-time and twitch-oriented like a first-person shooter and can be played with a joystick at the player's option. Characters could choose one of three factions in the new Pilot sub-profession: Rebel, Imperial, or Freelance. Two races were also added: Sullustan and Ithorian. Jump to Lightspeed also added many space missions and four space-specific professions. It also added real-time space shooter elements to the game, which allowed for an interesting combination with the turn-based mode already featured in the ground-based. If you want to feel like your playing on SWG Live again then this is the project for you.This expansion finally allowed players to explore and battle in ten sectors of outer space, in more than twenty types of starships from the era between Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, including familiar X-wings, TIE Fighters, and YT-1300s (same type as the Millennium Falcon), as well as new and never before seen ships created by the developers. I give them a 10/10 because this project has a completed version of the game and seems to be consistently growing and it is a completed project over all with new content in the works. This would be the one to choose for a long term game play investment. They are also actively developing new content and quests expected to be released in the future as you would expect to see from an actual live mmorpg. I have only been with them for a year and I have seen more respect shown and given to players of the community and even other SWG projects by them then I have ever seen shown from the SWGEmu and I been with them from the start. They are very engaging with their community. They actually run the server like it was the live server back in the day. They actually have a completed game and no impending server wipes. I give them a 5/10 only because the work they have done and contributed so far and nothing else.

If your looking for an emulator project with a growing community however then I am sorry, but this one just is not the one right now until they seriously get their act together over there. If you want to play around in a time capsule then by all means go for it. So all that being said in it's current form the SWGEmu is not a long term play mmo. So terms of emulator projects in general this team is by far the worst. No other emulator project in the history of online gaming has ever taken this long to reach some completed form of the game they are trying to emulate ever. They can't even do major updates with out doing entire server wipes. It's almost two decades later and they have yet to push out a completed project let alone even a space game. Just in terms of emulators projects they have done a в™Ґв™Ґв™Ґв™Ґ job in reaching their goals in any form of timely manner. Now they have done an awesome job in terms of what they have pushed out and there are a lot of good community members still there. lol So your left basically looking at them going really? I mean you seriously got to ask? lmao!!!! рџ¤Ј Then they wonder why the server population is low and no new players are joining up. Anything that doesn't conform to their way of thinking they out right delete. That's not counting the ass kiss club that joins in even. When people ask questions about it and/or call them out on the forums for it more often then not they are met with rude comments back from the staff and they get butt hurt and defensive about it. They really have not progressed at a decent rate of speed. SWGEmu has been an on going project for at least a good 15 years now or better.

I play both and like both, but if your looking for only one here are some realities you people need to face. I have just had a way more relaxed experience with my time there. I been enjoying my time a lot more recently over at SWG Legends. You shouldn't have to feel like your walking on egg shells when visiting the forums and it's been pretty bad about that for a while now which is why I don't contribute on them much any more. I don't really care for the way they run the bingo over at SWGEmu. I joined SWG Legends only around a year ago and recently started really getting in to it.
